his study was conducted to determine the distribution and comparison of age, education, number of information resources, and the most impressive information resources about the prevention of scabies before and after counseling in the student of pesantren X at South Jakarta. The students were collected to be given pretest questionnaire, then counseling of scabies prevention, and posttest questionnaire after counseling. The data obtained were entered into a computer and then tested and analyzed with SPSS 21. The subjects of this study were dominated by elementary school/Imtihan and junior high school/Tsanawiyah students (89%), aged ≥17 years (81%), being informed from ≤3 sources (90%), and information derived from the health officer (68%). Of the variables assessed in this study, there are level of knowledge differences about the prevention of scabies in pretest among a sample with the most memorable information from health officers and non-health officers (p=0.004), and there were level of knowledge differences about the prevention of scabies in posttest between samples with a amount of information resources >3 and ≤3 (p=0.032). There were significant knowledge differences between pretest and posttest (p=0.000). Education about prevention awareness against Sarcoptes scabiei to the student of pesantren X in South Jakarta was quite effective
